The V-Mixing System enables three types of recording and playback solutions:
  • Onboard stereo recording via USB port on every V-Mixer
  • Integrated Multi-Channel recording and playback via R-1000 48-Track Recorder/Player
  • Integrated Multi-channel recording using SONAR REAC Recording System; or SONAR V-Studio 700 REAC Edition
Multi-Channel Recording and Playback
icon_flashkeyThe R-1000 is an intuitive stand alone, dedicated recorder/player designed to work with the V-Mixing System in any live event or production. Ideal for applications such as recording live concerts, virtual sound checks, rehearsals, playback of multiple tracks or surround stems, and professional audio mixing/engineering training. You can connect and use the R-1000 with any REAC digital snake as well as with any digital console with MADI output capabilities by using the Roland S-MADI REAC MADI Bridge. Learn more>

Multi-Channel Recording and Post-Production
Capture up to 40 channels of audio from your V-Mixing System or Digital Snake directly into SONAR all via a simple CAT5e/6 cable connected directly to the gigabit network port on a PC. Two options are available that enable this live recording ability integrated with a comprehensive mixing, master and delivery ability.

icon_srrsThe SONAR REAC Recording System consists of SONAR Producer along with the REAC driver and Roland FA-66 hardware interface for monitoring the incoming signals. The 40 channels are captured via the gigabit network port on an appropriately configured PC. Learn more>

icon_vstudioLike the above configuration the V-Studio also consists of SONAR Producer, but additionally the software is intelligently matched with state-of-the-art hardware that meets Roland's high standards of quality and reliability. It includes the VS-700C V-STUDIO Console multifunction control surface and VS-700R V-STUDIO 18/24 I/O audio interface which has an integrated Roland Fantom VS hardware synthesizer based on the world-renowned Fantom synthesizer.

Taken as a whole, SONAR V-STUDIO 700 offers the tactile feel of working in a traditional studio, but in a way that takes advantage of everything modern technology has to offer.
